2024 National DTC Conference. Plenary III - Assessing High Risk - High Needs Individuals

About this event

The importance of using validated risk assessment tools when determining who is accepted into the program. DTCs should serve high risk high-needs individuals. DTCs offer too much supervision for lower - risk lower-need individuals. Alternative routes can look at lower-risk individuals. We can do more harm than good to lower-risk individuals by putting them with higher-risk individuals.  This session will also focus on the cost savings to society when we focus on high-risk high-needs individuals.
