Valerie Corcoran:

Valerie Corcoran MA, TITC is the Provincial Manager for Drug Treatment Courts in Newfoundland and Labrador.  She is responsible for the expansion of DTCs to Central and Western NL as well as the oversight of the St, John’s DTC and is a member of the Drug Treatment Court Services treatment team.  Val holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology with a certification in Clinical Traumatology and has spent her working career in the field of criminal justice.   She occupies her spare time designing and creating rug hooking pieces for family and friends.

Kara Pinksen:

Kara Pinksen, BA, BSW, MSW, RSW.  Kara is the Addictions Specialist responsible for the intensive treatment, intervention, and drug screening with the St. John’s DTC.  She has worked as a social worker in the field of Addictions/Mental Health since 2004. She has a side hustle as a private practice therapist and in her spare time she likes to binge watch Rupauls Drag Race with her senior dog Lucy.
